Yeah, right, as the title suggests, SPM is around the corner, in fact, it's only 15 days from now. Two more weeks to go, and I shall make my last struggle......
Well, time is surely running short. However, I won't give in that easily and I'll carry on my preparation for every single subject, Sejarah excluded of course. You see, I don't really have time for this crap - Sejarah, so I might as well give up on this subject. To me, Pendidikan Moral seems to be a much considerable choice to give a shot as all I have to do is memorize four pages of notes which consist of 32 moral values (nilai murni). Compared to 2 huge and thick Sejarah textbooks, isn't that a bit more reasonable?
The subject which worries me the most is Bahasa Malaysia, because if I fail this subject, I'm screwed, literally. Bahasa Cina is also another great challenge for me, as I've only scored a B+ in the trial exam, and I heard it isn't easy to score an A in the actual SPM.
I hope I could get at least 7-8 A's in the upcoming SPM. I'm gonna go out all for it, as SPM is a prominent exam in Malaysia which all of us will only sit for once in a life time.

My favourite song

Viva La Vida
I used to rule~~ the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep~~ alone
Sweep the streets I used to owned~~
I used to roll~~~ the dice
Feel the fear in the enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd~~ would sing
Now the old king is dead, long live the king
One minute I held~~ the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my cas~~tle stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing
Roman cavalry choirs singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missiona~~ries in a foreign field
For some reasons I can't explain
Once you go there was never
Never an ho~~nest word
That was when I ruled the world
It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't belive what I'd become
Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Who would ever want to be king
I hear Jerusalem bells a ringing ...

A-Level Scholarship Interview

Last Saturday, I didn't go to school, instead, I went to Sunway College for an interview. Well, it was an A-Level Scholarship interview, I woke up at 8 o'clock and my dad's driver came to fetch me at about 9 o'clock. It was a saturday morning, not many vehicles were travelling along the highway, therefore, I managed to reach Sunway College at half past nine.
When I stepped out of my Dad's CR-V, I saw plenty of participants waiting in the "lobby". I went to the reception and registered, then, the receptionist handed me a blue bag printed with the words "Sunway University College". Later on, I saw some of my ex-school mates who were also participants of the interview. I also met my friend Jin Teng in the canteen.
At 10 o'clock sharp, we were brought to an auditorium. More than a hundred people including interview participants, parents and employees of Sunway College could be seen in the auditorium. Some were chit-chatting with one another, others were having some light refreshments provided by Sunway College. Jin Teng and I were given some pre-interview forms by the employees, we filled them up and handed them in. Then, we sat down and waited for our names to be called by the announcer.
Jin Teng's name was called first, she was then led by a Sunway College employee to the interview room. About 20 minutes later, my name was also called. A male employee brought me to a room beside the auditorium. I had waited for another 20 minutes before I was informed to enter the room to begin my interview. The moment I stood up from the chair, I told myself to relax and stay calm in my mind. I knocked softly on the door, twisted the door knob and entered the room.
Before me stood a middle-age chinese lady, I greeted her and then I sat down. I tried my best to stay calm. Relax, just be yourself, I said to myself. The interviewer asked me to introduce myself to her. After that, she also asked me some other questions about my family, my ambition and so on. I answered all of her questions without much problems. In the end of the interview, she gave me some positive comments and praised me for speaking good English despite the fact that I am a Chinese school student.
After the interview, I went back to the auditorium and chatted with Jin Teng for a while. At about 12 o'clock noon, my dad's driver came to pick me up and then I returned home.

Sunday Morning

Today is Sunday and I woke up at about 10 o'clock in the morning. The first thing I did was flip through the newspapers and I found an interesing article about how to become a superior writer.
There are six areas/aspects you have to master to become a superior writer, which is grammar, vocabulary, spelling, punctuation, style and creativity. After reading the article, I was thinking if it was possible for me to become a superior writer. Well, writing is one of my greatest interest, and becoming a decent writer is kind of like my greatest dream in life (currently).
Writing is fun. All of us have started writing since young, it is something easy to learn, but difficult to master. Grammar, punctuation, vocabulary and spelling. We've been learning these for years at school. These few aspects could be easily mastered if you read, read and read. But for the two other aspects - style and creativity, they are slightly harder to be mastered, in fact, there is no such thing as mastering style and creativity.
To be creative, you have to go out, meet some people, make friends, play games, go for vacation and learn new things. That's the way to become a creative person. Staying at home too much will only make you a nerd, and believe me, you will never become creative and you will not be able to write and compose creative and fascinating stories when you are a nerd.
As for style, well, you just have to read more novels or other reading materials (the beneficial ones) and I'm sure you will be able to acquire your own special and unique writing style subsequently.
Some people say that a photograph could tell a thousand words and some agreed on that. I do not know what you guys think, but, it sounds pretty ridiculous to me (just my personal opinion). A photograph is just a photograph, yes, it may bring back memories of old times, but could it really tell a thousand words? I doubt that.
Whatever. It seems like I've gone a little too far. My point is, words make you think, let you make use of your imagination and let your mind operates. Pictures/photographs couldn't do that, could they?
Which is better? A diary or a photo? Your choice.

Thoughts (i)

Things are getting really boring nowadays, really boring. Nothing motivates me, nothing at all. My life is so dull, DAMN......
Study, study, study... whatelse? My life is about studying, getting some lameshit scholarship, sitting for SPM and entering any colleges which is willing to take me in. That's about it.
Writing has always been my greatest interest for the past one or two years. Whenever I felt bored, I would think of something, make use of my creativity and write them out. That was fun, really. But, things have changed a lot recently.
I'm no longer inspired nor motivated. Inspiration has vanished. Motivation could be found nowhere.
For the past few months, I've been trying to concentrate on my SPM studies, but things weren't going too well. My results are getting worse......
I'm highly determined to get some good grades for my SPM. But, being determined is one thing, acquiring the perseverance and persistence to study for it is another.
Only if I were mentally strong enough to control myself from day-dreaming......

SPM Trial Exam
For every 17-year-old student in Malaysia, with no doubt, SPM is one of the most important event of the year. Okay, maybe not ALL of them, but at least for those who care about their future and for those who want to get on in life, it is extremely essential. Well, at least that is what I think.
As a non-government school student, SPM is as important to me as it is to any of my friends from other government schools. The way my school treats SPM really annoys me, they take it too lightly, as if the only thing important to them is the Senior 3 UEC, other than that, everything is garbage.
SPM trial starts on this Saturday, and I hope I could get some good results, so that I could get out of this living hell asap.

Triple Triumph
Last friday, I went to Sunway University College with my brother for the prize-giving ceremony of the My Success My Dreams blogging contest. I was awarded the 2nd prize and the announcer said that there was only a 30 votes difference between the champion and I, anyway, I'm still quite happy with the result. An 800-word-essay for an iPod touch, RM500 cash prize and RM220 vouchers, ain't bad, huh?
On the second day, I went to Taylor's University College Lakeside Campus along with my partner and two of my friends who also manage to enter the finals for the Videologue Competition. We did a so-so presentation in front of the judges and the audiences (I was kinda nervous facing so many people in front of me). In the end, it turned out that we were the 2nd runner-up and the other team was the 3rd runner-up. The prizes for us was an iPod Nano 4th generation with 16gb of memory each while the two of them got a pen-drive each.
Today, I went to school and got to know that I was awarded the 1st prize in the school's Creative Writing Competition.
Three prizes in a row, now, that was really unexpected.
By the way, exam starts on this Thursday, and I'm not fully-prepared yet, really feel kinda nervous. Anyway, I will still try my best!!!
